Do not use 'Bookmarks' or 'Favorites' to recall the
Video Menu or individual Video feeds.
(Doing so defeats your id and password login
authorization resulting in a 'Bad Referring URL' Error
message and denied access.) |

After extensive research and evaluation, we must inform members that
Netscape 6 cannot transfer the data needed to confirm your login authorization. |
|
Using Netscape 6 will generally get you as far as the Video Menu. Your
feed selection, however, will result in an error message from the video
supplier. |
We're confident that Netscape will eventually resolve this issue but in
the meantime we suggest that PC & Mac users install the proven Netscape 4.7

Generally, browsers are robust and problem-free
requiring only an annual update to remain serviceable. |
|
Occasionally, installations are incomplete or can
develop problems over time and will require
re-installing |

If you are experiencing unexplainable viewing
problems, re-installing or trying an alternate browser
may be time well invested. |

When e-mailing MANcheck for tech help, it's beneficial
to inform us which browser and version you are using. |

Typically, feeds cannot be viewed from behind a
Firewall or Proxy Server. |

Plug-ins: |
|
Some Video Clips and Full-Length Movies require the
installation of a Plug-in. |
|
Plug-ins enhance the capabilities of your browser and
allow you to experience Audio, Video and Animation
from the Internet. |
|
Each Plug-in listed below offers a free introductory
version with limited features. |
|
Generally, the free versions allow you to view and
hear videos but not 'Save' videos. |

Clear your cache |
|
Click: "Edit" > choose "Preferences" > choose
"Advanced" "Cache" then "Clear Memory Cache" and
"Clear Disk Cache" |

Each time you visit a web page, certain elements of
those pages are temporarily stored to make a return
visit more efficient to download. This can sometimes
cause your computer to bog down. Clearing your cache
will give you a fresh start and increase your
computer's overall performance. |

Click: "Edit" choose "Preferences" choose "Advanced"

Make sure that "Direct connection to the Internet" is
checked off. |

Accept Cookies |
|
Click: "Edit" choose "Preferences" choose "Advanced"
and make sure that "Accept all cookies" is selected. |

Viewing Tips: Monitor Settings |
|
The size of graphics are determined by the number of
pixels selected on your monitor, also referred to as
the resolution. |
|
Your monitor's resolution represents the number of
pixels across by the number of pixels down - 640 x
480, 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768. |
|
The higher you set the resolution, the smaller things
will appear on your screen. |
|
Conversely, the lower you set the resolution, the
larger things will appear on your screen. |
|
Once you know how to do it, it's easy to find the
resolution that's right for you. |
|
Changing your monitor's resolution |
|
Go to Start, Setting, and Control Panel. |
|
In the Control Panel window, click the Display icon. |
|
Click the Settings tab. |
|
In the Screen Area, adjust the knob higher or lower
with your mouse. When you've reached the setting you
want, click Apply. |
|
The Display Properties Dialog Box will appear and
explain that your monitor may flicker. You must click
OK in order to proceed. |
|
If you like the new settings, click Yes to keep your
new settings. If you don't, click No and your old
settings will return. |
|
